Gerolsteiner
Brunnen, market leader among German mineral water producers,
invests in innovative KHS ACF (aseptic cold filling) line
equipment. Gerolsteiner thus again lives up to its reputation as
an innovator as one of the top German and at the same time top
European mineral water producers who have expressly decided in
favor of modern aseptic cold filling.
In the future, innovative ACF (aseptic cold filling) line
equipment from KHS will be going hand in hand with Gerolsteiner's
so-called innovation offensive. Jörg Croseck, Management
Spokesperson at Gerolsteiner: "We will be drawing one part of
our growth from new, innovative products that in this form aren't
even on the German market as yet. As the market leader, we will be
reaffirming our pioneering role and by uncoupling ourselves
decisively from the traditional mineral water market."
According to Bernd Engelhaupt, Engineering Manager at
Gerolsteiner, the decision was made based on an exhaustive
comparison of all ACF systems available on the market. Bernd
Engelhaupt: "KHS' extensive ACF know-how and a technical
concept that is well thought out down to the last detail were the
convincing factors for us."
KHS also enjoys a unique position with regard to the broad
range of aseptic solutions by offering the KHS Alfill method of
dry sterilization iwth H2O2 in addition to the wet sterilization
method with Peracetic Acid.
Both methods provide maximum microbiological safety. Gerolsteiner
implements the wet method of bottle sterilization. Caps are
sterilized using the dry cap disinfection and sterilisation technique.
With modern ACF equipment from KHS, Gerolsteiner enjoys
greatest possible freedom for innovation. The filling of widely
differing sizes and shapes of non-refillable plastic bottles, and
the bottling of many different types of beverage are possible here
without the need for any preservatives whatsoever. Bernd
Engelhaupt: "With KHS ACF equipment, we are well-equipped for
taking the next steps in our innovation offensive."
